Hornet Precision Engineering Ltd. specialise in the manufacture of machined components, we take pride in being able to offer machining services to virtually every single market sector. On a typical day we can be making anything from a bracket for a tank to a part for a World Championship winning F1 car braking system.
Using the latest CNC (computer numerical controlled) machines programmed using advanced CAD/CAM we can utilise our machines in the most cost efficient, quality driven and time efficient way possible ensuring you get your machined components on time, at great value and above all, right first time.

We specialise in milling and turning of metallic and plastic components in prototype, small and medium batch sizes, using our extensive network of suppliers we are also able to offer other services such as anodising, heat treatment, grinding etc, please see our capacities below for the sizes of components we are able to machine.
5 Axis Machining
5-axis CNC machines move tools across five axes at once, machining nearly every side of a part in a single setup. This cuts out manual repositioning, speeds up production, and delivers superior precision, accuracy and surface finish -even on the most complex shapes.
CNC Mill-Turn
Using mill-turn/multi-axis machines cuts tooling and labour costs by combining milling and turning in one setup, boosting consistency and accuracy while eliminating manual repositioning errors. Automated, uninterrupted operation then ramps up production capacity and keeps labour expenses low.
3 and 4 axis CNC Milling
Our vertical machining centre – equipped with a 4th-axis rotary table, 12 kW spindle, and 20-tool carousel—delivers cost-effective prismatic and simple milling operations that don’t require 5-axis. It also handles post-5-sided second-op work for the fastest, most efficient finish
Started in 2018 as Hornet CNC Services, we offered in house training, programming and CNC machine programmer, setter, operator services to multiple sectors. Some of our customers included sub-contract machining companies within the oil and gas sector however the majority was working for the Current Formula 1 Champions engine building facility in Brixworth. In late 2020 we decided to start up our own manufacturing facility in South Leicestershire so we could offer full in house machining services using our 4 axis Haas vertical machining centre and a CMZ 2 axis turning lathe, in mid 2021 the company name was changed to Hornet Precision Engineering to reflect the change in our services.
